The Daily Campus

The Daily Campus:
Designing student life, events, and UConn history onto newsprint

Location
University of Connecticut

Duration
4 Years

During my undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut, I was part of the student-run newspaper, The Daily Campus, under many different roles: writer, photographer, designer, copy editor, and later managing editor.

As a designer, I was responsible for the layout design of a few pages of the newspaper every week. This involved laying out copy and accompanying images, and implementing feedback from copy editors.

In my last year at UConn, I took on the role of managing editor. This involved supervising the organization’s team of copy editors and designers, leading design workshops, and ensuring the newspaper met its nightly deadline for next-day print and circulation.
