I attended so many concerts from late 2022 to early 2023. Since I met so many wonderful people to share those experiences with, I realized just how much we take live music for granted. By getting involved in the local music scene of Connecticut, I’ve crossed paths with and befriended so many talented artists.
This is where Connections enters the picture. I have always wanted to produce my own music publication (or at least be a part of one), so I was eager to jump at the opportunity through The Luna Collective’s publishing program, which I am eternally grateful for! This project is mainly about how music helps us connect with one another and its importance in our lives. Being genuinely invested in their work and growth as artists — I thought of this as a good opportunity to share their story through a medium I love.
Spanning from February to May 2023, I wrote, photographed, and designed every element in the magazine. Once it was printed, I was responsible for running my online shop and fulfilling orders. My shop is currently closed but it’ll re-open next year when production for Vol. 2 happens.
